Beware of Fringed water lily
A foreign invasive aquatic plant which causes altered habitats and reduces the biodiversity.
- Do not take boats or canoes through or near fringed water lilies. The plant spreads very easily.
- Do not swim through groups of lilies due to the risk of drowning. Additionally, do not pick up or move the fringed water lily.

The fringed water lily has fringed yellow petals. The leaves are rounded, with wavy edges and up to 10 centimeters in diameter. The lily flowers in July to August. It can cover large areas of the water surface and outcompete native aquatic plants.
